I'd like to take a minute today to thank everyone who has supported me in this exciting adventure so far!! Whether it's been through reading my social media posts and liking or sharing, donating needed supplies, sharing my story by word of mouth, sending prayers and good energy my way or just by your example of serving others in your own life- I am more grateful than words could ever explain for each one of you in mine!! ❤️
I'd like to quickly highlight the souls who have donated financially to allow me to stay here and get this program running! I would also like to highlight one special person- so read till the end! ;)
Todd & Mary Jo Harris
Jill & Terry McEwan
Nigel & Linda Larsen
Neal & SueAnn Harris
Barbara & Dewin Harris
Vicki & Jerry Rudd
Janae & Kim Harris
Shirley & Paul Amador
Kimy & Jack Yonke
And 2 people I've never even met!-
Thank you thank you, generous donors!! The progress we've made so far wouldn't have been possible without each of you! Gracias! Los quiero!! 😊❤️
And now for the special guest highlight- Chad Cloward!!
I owe so much of this incredible experience so far to Chad. He is the one who introduced the destination of Puerto Peñasco to my uncle 20 years ago- which started the traveling here for my entire family. We all love and cherish our home and the community in Peñasco and are eternally grateful for Chad sharing this hidden gem with my Tio Neal!
Reason number 2 I am indebted to him is he is the one who introduced me to Kathleen Duncan- the founder of Steps of Love. I asked him last year if he knew of any volunteer opportunities I could participate in and he invited me to attend a meeting with Kathleen. That meeting by the pool 1 year ago is what led me to receiving this position today, as well as what led to some of the best months of my life spent delivering food in the dusty streets at the peak of the pandemic. ❤️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUZ_gZ2X0zs
Reason number 3 = the person that he is! There are people in the world who will gladly help others when it's convenient for them, and then there are people like Chad, who will drop anything to go out of their way for a stranger who needs help at any time of the day. He takes serving to the next level and has been such a great example to me of true selflessness, unconditional love and helping others without expecting a thing in return. I hope to someday become more like Chad!
From meals, to rides to Utah and back, to life changing chats, to introducing me to local friends, or letting me and friends crash on his couch whenever needed- I will never be able to repay him for the countless things he's done for me! Muchas gracias Chad! Estoy tan grato para ti!
That's all for this week's post!
